TABLE OF CONTENTS
Introduction
When you are posting receipts in either the Post Receipts and Refunds or the Receive or Refund Deposits screens, there are three options:
Update Individually
- Posts the selected receipts individually to the bank and the Fee Debtors control at the dates shown on the individual transactions.
Batch Now
- Posts the selected receipts as one batch total to the bank and the Fee Debtors control at the dates shown on the Batch Date entered.
- The receipt is posted to the individual bill payer accounts as per the individual transaction.
Batch later
- This works in the same way as the Batch now option but does not post directly to the bank account. The posting goes to a balance sheet holding account instead.
- This allows you to post daily batches of cheques to the parent ledger accounts but only make one bank batch posting per week (to replicate your actual banking).
When you are ready to bank all the cheques in these batches, go to Fees > Collection > Post Batch Cheques and merge the batches together into one banking batch and post to the bank account.
For more information on managing posting batches please see the Engage Fees Collections guide (Post Batch Cheques section).
