Introduction
When posting cheques, selecting the Batch Now option will treat all the transaction as a single posting to the bank. It replicates using a paying in slip to deposit a batch of cheques at the bank, with only one banking transaction to reconcile in your bank reconciliation.
Use the Batch Now option when you post receipts
- In Fees>Collections>Post Receipts and Refunds select the transactions to post.
Select the Print/Post Receipts/Refunds button.

- In the Post Manual Receipts/Refunds screen, select Batch Now.
- Update the Batch Date to match the actual banking date.
- Enter a Batch Description e.g., Paying in slip reference.
- Select Post and follow the normal posting sequence.
- The reports will show a single transaction to the Debtors control and Bank Account(s) selected.
Note: This posting option is also available in the Fees>Collections>Receive or Refund Deposits screen.
