Enter a Cross Charge Description

Introduction

When you set up a Cross Charge both the Payer and the Beneficiary will receive an invoice with a cross charge section for each pupil, with the description that you set.

Enter a Cross Charge Description

  1. Go to Fees>Allocation>Manage Cross Charges.
  2. Select a pupil to receive a cross charge (or select a pupil with an existing Cross Charge to edit) from the main grid.
  3. Select the Account to receive the cross charge in the Contact Cross Charge Information
  4. Select New in the Cross Charge pane at the bottom of the screen.
  5. Choose between Fixed Amount or Percentage in the Cross Charge Type section.
  6. Select the Payer from the drop down and enter a value.
  7. Enter a Cross Charge description to appear on both the Beneficiary and Payer’s invoices the select Save. You can overwrite the default Description.
  8. To change the default Cross Charge Description, go to Fees>Setup>Account Structure screen (requires the Administrator login and password to access), and update the Default Cross Charge Description in the Invoice Preference section and save.
  9. The new description will appear against the cross charge on both invoices.
