Introduction
Admission defaults allow you to set the stages so that they apply to pupils when they are added to the system. The admissions stage can be changed for a pupil if the default one doesn't apply to them.
Default admission stages
- In Engage, go to Setup > Configuration > Admission Defaults.
- In the Admission Defaults section select the relevant admission type and name for each stage.
- Select Save.
The stages are; Initial Stage and Final Stage.
Initial Stage is the default admission stage that Engage uses when adding prospective pupils. You are however, able to override this setting for individual pupils when adding them to the system.
Final Stage is a default admission stage that Engage uses when transferring prospective pupils into New Intakes. Engage will automatically assign this stage to all pupils. You can chose to ignore it by ticking the Ignore Final Stage field.
Note: The Next Admission Stage field is no longer used in Engage. It is kept visible for schools that may have used it in the past. Therefore we recommend the Current Admission Stage and the Next Admission Stage use the same fields in both the Initial Stage and Final Stage sections.
