Introduction
Engage can be used to record deposits received and held against pupils. The process below describes how to record receipt of a deposit. As an alternative, it is also possible to add deposit charges to an invoice.
Receive a Deposit
- Go to Fees > Collections > Receive or Refund Deposits.
- Highlight the pupil in the main grid.
- Select the Receive button.
- If the pupil has more than one bill payer, select the correct one in the Contacts of pupil dropdown.
- Enter the receipt date, amount, Ledger Text, and Transaction Description.
- If required, select Issue Deposit Receipt.
- If you use multiple deposits, complete the allocation section of the Contacts deposit grid.
- Select Save.
- Select the transactions to be posted and the correct bank account for the posting then select Post Deposits.
