Introduction
Although you cannot use a Non Contact Payer account in the Receive or Refund Deposits screen, you can raise a deposit type invoice if the pupil is in either the New Intake or Current Pupil stage.
Use a Non Contact Payer to pay a Pupil Deposit
- In Fees>Setup>Charge and Discount Structure check that you have a Deposit type charge setup.
- In Fees>Setup>Parent Defaults select the bill payer and select the Non Contact Payer tick box to put the account into the pool of available Non Contact Payers.
- Validate that the pupil has a charge frequency in Fees>Allocation>Allocate Pupil Charge Frequency.
- Allocate the Deposit type charge in the Fees>Allocation>Allocate Pupil Charges screen in the normal way.
- In the Fees>Allocation>Manage Contact Contributions screen add the Non Contact Payer to the pupil and select the contribution type.
- If they the only bill payer linked to this pupil you will need to give them the Balance of Payments type, but if there are other billing contacts linked to the pupil you could set the normal contact contributions and give the specific deposit charge to the Non Contact Payer.
- Compile and issue the invoice as normal. If you only want to issue deposit type invoices, you can select this option in the Fees>Invoices>Raise Invoices
