Introduction
A non contact payer is an account you can make available for invoicing charges to any pupil, even where the payer is not directly linked to that pupil.
Non contact payers are only linked inside the Engage Fees module, the link is not visible to anybody looking at the pupil's contacts from the main pupil screens.
You can use them when one billing account is linked to multiple pupils.
The following contact types are usually set up as non contact payers:
- Trusts and charities
- Local authorities
- Companies (especially for ex-pat parents)
You can set up any bill payer account as a non contact payer, even if they have pupils linked to them in the normal way.
Set up a non contact payer
- Create a bill payer account in Fees > Setup > Parent Defaults in the normal way, using the No Pupils filter.
- In the Parent default account, select the Non Contact Payer field and save the record.
- This new payer will now be available in the Fees > Allocations > Manage Contact Contributions screen by selecting on the Non Contact Payer option when the relevant pupil is selected.
Note: For more information on Non Contact Payers, please see the Engage Fees Setup guide (Parent Defaults section) and Engage Fees Billing guide (Manage Contact Contributions section).
