Reporting Assessments vs Class Assessments

Introduction

The assessments module holds internal and external data for pupils. This is in the form of grades, comments and calculations. Reporting assessment information is entered into specific reporting periods. This allows you to distinguish between the data and track a pupils progress across the academic year. Class assessment information is used by teachers to record their own specific data about their class. The columns are set up as and when required and only appear on the marksheet they are added to.

Reporting assessment columns

These can be used in Performance Tracking, feed directly to a field on an assessment report template and can be used in a calculated columns. Examples are; attainment, effort, teacher comment.

Class assessment columns

May be used for internal purposes only, as a record within the school of teacher assessments. You are unable to performance track on a class assessment column or add them to assessment reports. Examples are; weekly spelling tests, mock exams, homework grades.
