Introduction

Where you have used a charge in a posting in your database or in a current allocation you are unable to delete it. You can use this setting to hide if from your picking list when you allocate future charges.

Use Hide Charge in the Charge and Discount Structure

1. Go to Fees > Setup > Charge and Discount Structure.
2. Select the charge in the main grid that you no longer need.
3. If you select the Delete button but get the following error message, you will not be able to delete the charge item.
4. Select the Hide Charge tick box on the right-hand side of Charge Item pane at the bottom of the screen.
5. Save your settings.
6. You will no longer be able to see the charge item when you allocate pupil charges.

Note: If you do not wish to delete a charge but make it temporarily unavailable to pick, you should use this option rather than delete as you will not have to re-enter the charge later. You will be able to untick the Hide Charge box to make it available again.
