Introduction

In the Charge and Discount structure you can nominate charges which Engage Fees uses to calculate School Fee insurance premiums or Surcharges with differing VAT rates to the charge item they relate to

Use Apply SFPS/Surcharge in the Charge and Discount Structure

1. Go to Fees > Setup > Charge and Discount Structure.
2. Select the charge in the main grid, (or create a new charge item) which the system will use in the calculation of premiums.
3. Select the Apply SFPS tick box on the right-hand side of Charge Item pane at the bottom of the screen.
4. Save your settings.
5. When you allocate a charge item marked as Apply SFPS/Surcharge to a pupil with a qualifying % SFPS or %Surcharge type charge, the invoice will correctly calculate the value on the invoice.

Note: Engage only uses fee or extras type charge items in the same charge group, and that are above the SFPS/Surcharge type charge item, in any calculation.
