Reset a password in the Pupil Portal

Introduction

A Pupil Portal user can select the Forgot Password option to reset their own password. If they contact the school their password can be reset via the Staff Portal. The person resetting the password must have access to the Admin > Users screen.

 

Reset a Pupil Portal password

  1. Go to Admin > Users.
  2. Change the Account Type to Pupil.
  3. Find the user whose password you need to reset from the list of users. Alternatively, search for their name.
  4. Select the Reset Password button on the row. A green message appears saying Password Reset Successfully. An email will be sent to the user containing a temporary password.
  5. Alternatively you can manually enter a password in the password field and select Save. A green message appears saying Password Reset Successfully. An email will be sent to the user containing the password you entered.
  6. When the user receives the email they log in to the Pupil Portal using the temporary (or manually entered) password and create a new password.
